GILBERT, ARIZONA

Hi. I’m Des.
I am a wife to Brad, mom to Olivia and Braeden, "Gigi" to my absolutely precious Calum and Haven, and doodle dog mom to Murray, Nelson, and Poppy. I adore my family and spoil my three extremely needy but adorable Goldendoodles rotten.

I am OBSESSED with all things beauty and home-related. Some might say a bit too much. Growing up, my family owned a wholesale beauty supply business in the Pacific Northwest. I loved going to work with my dad and exploring his enormous warehouse brimming with beauty products.

Fast forward to today, my passion for the industry has evolved into a deep commitment to creating cleaner and safer products free from common chemicals and many synthetic ingredients. This is how Naturally Sublime was born.
A bit more personal...

In July of 2022, I suffered a spiral break in my left hand that required surgery. After six screws were inserted, I was diagnosed with an extremely rare neurological disease called CRPS. A few months later, I was also diagnosed with POTS. As a result, my left hand is now paralyzed, and my equilibrium has been severely affected. I wear a brace to protect my hand, use a cane to maintain my balance, use a wheelchair on really bad days, and I've lost the ability to drive.

In October of 2023, the CRPS spread to my head, throat, and digestive system. This required another surgery to place a feeding tube, ensuring my body stays nourished and hydrated.

Life can be incredibly challenging, and there have been moments when i felt like much of what made life beautiful was gone. However, God has shown me the opposite. This business, which started as a hobby and a desire to create cleaner products for the body and home, has become something my body and home need for me to remain medically healthy.

Please take a look around. If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out. I am confident you will love what I have to offer!
From my journal:
Healing is the result of you answering the question “What will your focus be?”
When your perspective is grounded in His faithfulness, praise becomes your response. Just like the scars on Jesus’ hands, they hold the power of your testimony.
